Our Bolton based machine diagnostic services

Here at GM Diagnostics, we have a team of multi skilled engineers, who are able to offer a wide range of services covering most aspects of maintenance Bolton, machine repairs and servicing offering support to the plastic manufacturing and recycling industries.

Maintenance Bolton

We have a large warehouse based in Bolton. Our warehouse has been purposely adapted to allow our engineers to bring in large machinery and safely work on it. If, for any reason your machinery can’t be removed then our team of engineers are also experienced in working on site with the machine to try and sort any issues in-situ.

Our services

  • Blade sharpening

We don’t manufacture blades in house but we offer a comprehensive blade sharpening facility. This facility means we can sharpen and regrind your granulator blades ready for reuse. Our re-sharpening and re-conditioning service has a fast and effective turnaround, ensuring you can get on with your commitments with as little disruption as possible.

  • Granulator repairs and servicing

Our Bolton engineers can ensure you have no downtime by working on your granulator whilst it is still in your premises. They are fully trained to carry out a range of different granulator based services and repairs.

  • Shredder repairs and servicing

Similar to granulator repairs, our team of engineers are able to work on your shredders in the comfort of your own warehouse. This is to ensure that we can work around your timetable, and we can carry out any work on a timescale that suits you.

  • Industrial machine repairs and servicing

We can help prevent breakdowns and spot when a machine is showing early signs of needing replacement. Our team are on hand to ensure your equipment is working to its optimum capacity. However, if repairs are needed we are able to provide a service that is convenient to you. Please contact us for further information, we are happy to help!

  • Injection moulding technical support

We can offer advice on tooling design at GA level or advise on potential modifications to existing tooling as well as advise on the layout of new facilities or modifications to existing layouts.

  • Machine installations

Our engineers are able to carry out the positioning and installation of most types of equipment. Such as  injection moulding machines,  all down stream equipment, granulators and shredders. All our engineers are RTITB fork truck trained as well as IPAF.

  • On site hard face welding

Whether it’s a rotor or cutting chamber from a granulator, single or multi shaft shredders, our engineers are able to build up worn parts with hard face weld.

  • Pipe fittings for compressed air or cooling water

Our skilled engineers carry out pipe fitting up to 3 inches bsp whether it’s for compressed air or for chilled water systems. We can work to customer supplied layout drawings or provide installations based on customers rough description of what they need.

  • Thermal imaging surveys

We use thermal image technology as part of our regular service work. Whether its to identify excessive heat in bearings or to scan electrical control panels to identify any areas of excessive heat. It affords us the ability to react to potential failures in high load contractors and control gear before they turn into a breakdown situation.

  • Tie bar installations

Tie bars are a critical piece of machinery that form important parts of an injection moulding machine. Injection moulding presses rely on tie bars to apply clamping forces to moulds during plastic injection and cooling cycles.
